Vic Alvarado was born second of eight kids. Being raised by God-fearing parents, he came to know Jesus as Savior at the age of five when he learned of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross through a chalk-drawing and black light sermon at Vacation Bible School. A few years later, at the age of twelve, God clearly revealed His purpose for creating him. He was born to be one of His under-shepherds. Vic tried to negotiate with God about His plan, but finally submitted to The Lord’s dream for him at the age of seventeen.

Since 1983, Vic has faithfully carried out his full-time calling as a pastor. He feels honored and humbled to have served the Bride of Christ exclusively for all these many years in a variety of assignments and influential settings.

The greatest gift Vic has been given, second only to God’s grace, is his bride, Darcy. They have been happily married since 1993. He is most satisfied when he is with her. He is a proud father of two gifted young adults – Logan and Victoria.

In his spare time, you’ll find Vic detailing his car, working in the yard, reading a good book at the beach, or cheering on the Dodgers. Yet, Vic is most passionate about this: A focused pursuit of the character and will of Jesus Christ, a whole-hearted devotion to the pleasure of His company, and the beauty of His glory.
